Christine Brothers
Falmouth High School, Falmouth, MA
Chris has taught biology for 13 years at Falmouth High School where she is also the science department head.  She currently teaches Advanced Placement Biology and has also taught Marine Ecology, College Prep Biology, and Earth Science.  She has an BS from Cornell University and an MS from The Ohio State University, both in Science and Environmental Education.  Chris is nationally board certified in Biology and has received the Presidential Award for Excellence in Science Teaching, the National Association of Biology Teachers' Outstanding Biology Teacher Award for Massachusetts, the Massachusetts Audubon Society's Conservation Teacher Award, and the RadioShack Science Teacher of Excellence Award.  Chris attended the 2005 Wolbachia workshop and has since implemented the project in her AP Biology classes.

Jackie Curley
Academy of Science, Loudon County Public Schools, Sterling, VA
Jackie teaches the 9th grade integrated science and 11th grade Biology research, and is director of research for the Academy. She first attended the 2006 MBL Workshop and has since been a programmatic leader for implementing the lab series in high school classrooms throughout Loudon County Public Schools. Jackie has a master's degree in science education and is endorsed in Biology and Chemistry. She was the Teacher-of-the-Year at Oakton High School in (2000), Teacher-of-the-Year finalist for Fairfax County Public Schools (2000), and has also received the Al and Winnie Hodgson Award for excellence in teaching (2000-2001).

Molly Shabica
Fannie Lou Hamer Freedom High School, Bronx, NY
Molly is currently working as teacher coach and mentor to new teachers in addition to the leader of the math/science team. She attended two of the workshops in  2005 and 2006 and subsequently received a few grants, the largest being from Toshiba America Foundation in the amount of $11,000.00 to fund the Wolbachia project at the school. Molly has a master's degree in science education from Teachers College, Columbia University and a BA in Biology from Brown University. She first introduced Wolbachia to 50 students in the 9th and 10th grades during the 2005-2006 school year.  Then expanded the curriculum to reach 250 students throughout the school.  This year she expects to reach an additional 250 students.

Carolyn Wilczynski
Binghamton High School, Binghamton, NY
Carolyn Wilczynski is in her 9th year teaching science and is currently teaching Advanced Biology in the school's International Baccalaureate program.  She received a BS in Biology from Rutgers University, a MS in Botany from Ohio State University and a MAT in Science Education from Binghamton University, where she also received the Graduate Teaching Award for Excellence in Teaching.  She is currently pursuing a doctorate in Science Education at Binghamton University.  Carolyn became involved in the Wolbachia Project after taking a week long workshop held at Cornell University during the summer of 2007.  During the Fall of 2007, 35 of her students were actively involved in the project and are planning a visit to the MBL in the spring.
